WeNaTour Project
The European Alliance for Innovation and Sustainability Education in Welfare, Nature and Tourism
WeNaTour is a European project funded by the Erasmus+ program aimed at training new professionals for sustainable tourism and exploring emerging markets, while keeping the well-being of local communities and the preservation of the environment at the core of its strategies, towards a more responsible and sustainable future.
Project Outputs
The project addresses the needs of a tourism system undergoing significant changes by offering a high-quality, unique, and inclusive training program on sustainable tourism dedicated to the innovative professional role of ‘Sustainability Managers for Tourism Destinations.’
Additionally, all interested people, professional and academic experts will have the opportunity to become part of the WeNaTour Alliance, the first global network focused on Sustainable Tourism Destination Management.
Learn with WeNaTour
WeNaTour project aims to enhance the educational offering in the field of sustainable tourism and destination management at the European level through a unique combination of theory and practice. This will be achieved through the following actions:
A European Knowledge Network
Facilitating the exchange and co-creation of knowledge among European universities, local administrations, and businesses from diverse disciplines that often do not collaborate.
An Online Training Program
Promoting a new, innovative, and multidisciplinary online training program in Sustainable Tourism Management, targeting both students and professionals.
Field-Base Training Experiences
A specialization programme providing field-based training experiences to foster entrepreneurial skills among students, researchers, and professionals, addressing the growing demand for efficient and effective solutions.
New emerging markets
Innovate tourism systems by disseminating knowledge, exploring and testing new practices in two emerging markets: company welfare services connected to sustainable tourism and green care tourism.
WeNaTour Alliance
The WeNaTour Alliance is the first global network focused on sustainable tourism that connects interested individuals, experts, and innovators in Sustainable Tourism Destination Management from Europe and worldwide.
This network aims to share experiences, foster relationships, and give visibility to good practices also by leveraging and replicating the WeNaTour outputs for a lasting transformation in the tourism systems of the future.
